                       1. Do I think 12 year olds are ready to choose their future careers?
2.In what ways in our society tracked into their future careers?
3.What Life Assignment would you like if you had to choose right now?

Twelve is a very young age to decide your career option. But the fact is that 12 year olds can dream big. So what I'm going to say is that 12 year olds shouldn't  pick their career. But what they should is to just start thinking about a career option. What they should also start doing is researching some jobs to see if you will get the amount of money you want etc. It looks like a daunting task for a 12 year old perspective but it is really not. To me it is a simple thing but at the same time I am thinking oh no what am I going to do. But a problem that will come in choosing a job.will be many things. For instance you start saying to yourself that if I choose the wrong job what will I do, will I be okay, will the people around be okay etc. Some ways that a lot of tracked into their careers are mainly the people around. Like for example your mom and dad can say being a doctor is the best job in the world. When they say that the 12 year old will start to think to themselves that okay if my mom or dad say it is a good job then it is a good job. But that is not the only thing that gets 12 year olds minds going to choose a career. They can be provoked by the jobs on the T.V, newspaper, magazine and many other things.

A job career that would be great for me is being a professional basketball player. Well being in the NBA would be a wonderful experience. For instance you will go to many place that you have never been to. Like for example I have never been to Los Angeles so if i was in the NBA I would go to Los Angeles probably 6 times in a year depending what team I might or might not be on.  What  also provoked me into wanting to be in the NBA is that I am playing a lot of basketball in my childhood so far, whether it be playing in a driveway or playing on a recreation team that would be one of my main and most important reasons that I would like to be in the NBA. The final thing that provoked me into wanting to be in the NBA is that I just love the game so much. I have pretty much dedicated my life to the game of basketball. I have worked hard at it and I just don't want to be in the NBA for money I just want to prove to myself that I am the best of the best which in this case is the NBA players. So as they say if you find a job that you are really passionate about you will feel like your not even working.

The Dallas Mavericks

        The Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks are on a roll in the playoffs. So far in the first round the Mavericks defeated the Portland Trailblazers and moved on to the second round. In the second round the Mavericks faced the 2 time defending champions the Los Angeles Lakers. Coming in to the round they were considered underdogs and people thought that they would be swept. But the shoe was on the wrong foot, the Mavericks swept the Lakers in the second round and moved on to the Western Conference Finals. Before they could play the next team the had to wait for either the Memphis Grizzlies to win or the Oklahoma City Thunder to win. That series was one of the longest in the playoffs so far. The Mavericks had about a 9 day rest until they could face one of the youngest team in the league the Oklahoma City Thunder. So can the old Dallas Mavericks beat the fast and young Oklahoma City Thunder.
It was a long but gruesome game but the Dallas Mavericks managed to prevail and take game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. The game did not come easy for the Dallas Mavericks but veterans Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and, Dirk Nowitzki managed to seal the deal. Dirk Nowitzki one of the veterans of the Dallas Mavericks is a powerful power forward that is an amazing jump shooter. Jason Terry is a great off the bench shooting guard who put up a staggering amount of 3 pointers in the fourth and final game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Jason Kidd another Dallas Mavericks veteran is a slow but yet intelligent point guard who can explode with the ball at any given minute. But, those are not the only Dallas Mavericks there is Peja Stojakovic is another amazing 3 point shooter. There is also Tyson Chandler who is a strong and determined center. So there you go, as you can see the veteran Dallas Mavericks are a determined and intelligent team who in my opinion might win the NBA Championship. But it will not be an easy road for them, will they prevail over the Oklahoma City Thunder and either win over the Miami Heat or Chicago Bulls.

Special Blog Post: Van Cleef

One day a very athletic boy was playing basketball with his friends. There were all cheering him on because he was on a streak of 11 free-throws made in a row. But that was not the thing he was worried about that day. You see this boy goes by the name of Van Cleef, and he had a secret a secret that no one else knew. Not even his own family. Van Cleef was actually a secret archeologist that was about to search the pyramids of Egypt that night. But he shortly fell short of his mind.

That night Van Cleef was setting up his equipment that he needed for his journey to Egypt. Van Cleef said," Okay. I have the brush, binoculars, cool hat, camera, satchel, but what'. Van Cleef has quickly forgotten about something. But before I tell you I will tell you something even more important. You see Van Cleef is not actually an archeologist. He is actually a normal boy who lives in Cleveland, Ohio in which he is on his middle school basketball team. Do you understand what I am saying? Van Cleef is just normal. But he had a dream to go into the pyramids of Egypt. But lets get back to the story.

Van Cleef has forgotten about the big elephant in the room. How will he get to Egypt? There was only one way. He would have to go by plane. But, there are two things wrong. First off he doesn't  have enough money to by a snickers bar at 7-eleven, so how can he afford a plane ticket. Last but not least how will the security guards let a 12 year old on a plane without supervision. But everybody in his neighborhood says don't underestimate Van Cleef. So Van Cleef packed all of his equipment into his backpack and got a taxi to drive him to the nearest airport. For some of you that might thinking how in the world he got the taxi driver to drive him to the airport at one o'clock in the morning. Well lets just say he persuaded him into thinking he was the son of Kobe Bryant. When the taxi had reached the airport he went to the back where all the planes were. Van Cleef had noticed that there was a plane with a lit up pilot seat. He jumped the fence and slowly made his way to the plane. Van Cleef went through the door and looked around. He thought to himself," There is no one else in the plane. So quickly Van Cleef started the plane so no one could see him. Van Cleef started the plane and started his journey to Egypt.

Five years later a 17 year old is named the youngest archeologist to ever discover a pyramid. Thats right it is Van Cleef who has discovered the pyramid of Eldin on his weird yet ambitious adventure. What will he do next.

Special Blog Post

The Pursuit of Happiness clip  was very inspirational to me. At first he said that his son will not be a good basketball player because the dad was not a good basketball player. The reaction of the son was huge. Immediately the son throws the basketball away picks it up and puts it back in the bag. Then the father goes to the son and says that this is your dream. You need to protect it no matter what nobody says. That part was very inspirational to me because I had gone through a similar experience.

This could relate to school by a teacher not seeing the students potential. Similar to the video when the son makes the shot but the father says okay, I wasn't a good basketball player so don't play basketball. So its kind of like a student saying I am good at multiplication, but the teacher says I wasn't good at multiplication so were not going to learn that. The ways that school can improve is to let the students be heard. By that I mean teachers should hear about the students reaction on how the teacher is teaching them a certain subject. Another reason to let the "students be heard" is that teacher s can receive more ideas on how to get education more kid friendly.

This clip can also relate to working in groups at school. For example say there is this very smart student in working with a partner to study for a subject, and the other partner does not know a question. So that would probably lead to the very smart student to say so you don't the problem so then you will fail the test. So that will lead to the other partner to say oh your right I will fail that test.

Los Angeles Lakers Continued

LOS ANGELES LAKERS
The Los Angeles Lakers are having a great season so far. Last Sunday they defeated the San Antonio Spurs the number 1 team in the NBA. The game was a blowout the Spurs had no chance to comeback in the 4th quarter. As always the star Kobe Bryant had an amazing performance with another one of the star players on the Los Angeles Lakers Pau Gasol as usual like Kobe Bryant had an amazing performance. The Lakers are 3rd in the Western Conference which means they will be heading to the playoffs this year. But they have a tough road ahead of them to win the championship 3 times in a row.

As you might know already the Lakers have won 2 NBA championships in a row. But can they make a 3rd one in a row well the answer is I don't know because the other 7 teams he has to beat look very tough. Some team for sure to be in the playoffs is the Dallas Mavericks who are second behind the San Antonio Spurs  in the Western Conference. In this situation the Mavericks are kind of like the underdogs.

So as you can see here the Los Angeles Lakers could win another NBA championship 3 times in a row. It will be a tough road but could they do it. If they work hard they might just achieve there goal. They will have to face some good teams such as the Spurs, Mavericks, and the Thunder. Thank you fill free to post a comment.

Bullying
Bullying is a big issue. Especialy in Freak The Mighty. Freak The Mighty has many bullies in the book. But there one main one. His name is Tony.D. But he prefers to be called "Blade". Here is a proof from texe that "Blade" is a real bully in Freak The Mighty. " I know that voice. Tony D., they call him Blade, he's at least seventeen, and he's already been to juvy court three, four times." But its a known fact that bullying is a problem around the world. But the basic question is why do bullies do this. I believe that bullies do this to get attention, or a problem in their life. This is a horrible thing what people do. Some bullies are so mean that they do horrible things. But I don't want to talk about that.
Bullying can happen anywhere the park, school, even on the internet. I reasearched that 160,000 kids miss school everyday due to fear of attack of another student. Also one out of 20 students has seen a student with a gun at school. In the end bullying is a horrible thing that is happening around the world.

A Resume For School?What?
Currently around america educators are forcing children to write resumes, cover letters, and applications to be in their favorite elective classes. But some educators are not forcing children to do this specific job.
In my opinion we should not write a resume, cover letter, and application for school. That is absurd. So the people that read your resume, cover letter, and application are actually judging you by your writing. So if you don't get in the elective class you wanted to get in the people that read your resume are actually saying that your bad or not smart enough too be in this class. So that will hurt your feelings and make you feel bad.But the students that do get in their elective classes might tease the students that did not. This will also make students that did not get in their favorite elective class that other students are better than them.

Writing a resume, cover letter, and application is bad in other ways to because students might write false information and end up lieing to the board of education. Also it will probably get that student horrible grade for this.So in my opinion educators should stop forcing children too write absurd resumes, cover letters, and applications. This will only make education worser. It will also corrupt learning as we speak! So from this day forward these people should stop this corruption.
